The forging of the first dwarven soul, the Temple Forge of the Maker, has been protected by impenetrable dwarven armies within the Citadel of the Allfather. Hrogar, king of the dwarves, rules from the Adamant Throne. Each king of the dwarves bears the burden of leadership with stoic discipline. Among his many duties to his people, foremost is the defense of the Soulforge.

At the end of the last great war, his grandsire, Krin, secretly aided his human allies—Jeffers, Eid, and Erom—in sealing away the curse placed upon them during the final battle with the Demon King, Inferion. The secret died with Krin and his advisors and passed out of all memory.

Unbeknownst to King Hrogar the Vampire Lord Suul discovered..

The hidden tomb of the triumvirate in the caves beneath the Citadel, and broke the seal to release his long-lost masters. To the horror of all, the cursed undead have been released. The dwarven empire must, once again, defend the soulforge.
King Hrogar wields the mighty Warhammer of his forefathers, Runebearer. The Warhammer and all armor of his elite retinue was forged by forgemasters and runesmiths upon the soulforge.
The King’s mighty warhammer is imbued with a rune of destruction, which he may unleash at any time upon his foes, and his shield bears a rune of shielding to protect the line of the dwarven kings.

In battle, he leads by example and adds his own strength to his troops, bolstering their will to fight. The dwarven army has mastered the art of defense. All enemies break upon their shields... All enemies.
